Our team recently completed a backyard remodeling assignment in Richardson, where they were required to conduct vigorous landscaping and add new pavers. We were also asked to add new plants in order to create a small and neat garden. The initial consultation revealed that the client wanted a well-landscaped backyard that provided a peaceful retreat, increased curb appeal, and even helped save on energy costs by providing shade and cooling effects. 

Next, we prepared the site by moving and clearing the existing dead vegetation and debris (See images below). Then, we installed the base by layering crushed stone and gravel to provide stability and ensure proper drainage. We made the base compact using a compactor to create a solid foundation. After that, we installed an edge restraint and spread a layer of sand over the base. 

Finally, we laid the pavers according to the chosen pattern. Afterward, we placed each paver carefully, ensuring proper spacing and alignment. We used a mallet to gently tap the pavers into place, ensuring they were level and firmly seated in the sand bed. To finish it off, we conducted the necessary cutting of pavers to fit around edges, curves, and obstacles using a saw. 

We also filled in gaps between the pavers with sand, sweeping it into the joints and compacting it. We also applied a sealer to protect the pavers from stains, weathering, and color fading. This helped enhance the overall appearance of the pavers. Our expert also added beautiful flower plants and vegetation to create a small garden in this area. The client loved our work.
